Today, we continue with our Q&A with the Production Team. Part 2 of a multi-part series.
What are you most pleased with in the trailer?
Producer – The incredible talent involved! Alannah Bale and Kristopher Turner are so amazing as Chloe and Damien. They are nuanced and have great chemistry. We love the fierceness that Alannah brings to Chloe and Kristopher is beautifully enigmatic as Damien. We are so excited to have Canadian icon, Megan Follows as our director. She did an incredible job capturing the complex nature of the situation and it was a treat to see her work with the cast. Our wonderful writer, Alison Bingeman, created a layered and dramatic couple of scenes that managed to capture a complicated ambiguity that leaves us asking questions and wanting more. We also had incredible keys in cinematography, editing and composing, who made the teaser look and sound fantastic.
Writer – I’m always nervous to see my writing on screen and rarely am I happy with the end result. I don’t know why that is other than what I see on screen often doesn’t match what was in my head when I created it. This time, I was blown away — what Megan, Alanna and Kristopher brought to the characters seemed even richer than I imagined. All of them found meaning and complexity beyond what was on the page. Alanna’s Chloe was such a contradictory blend of fear, resolve and emotion. Kristopher’s Damien was well, mesmerizing. Megan delivered wonderful performances from her actors and, with the talented Luc Montpellier our DP, created a unique, visual world. And a big shout out to marble for assembling such an amazing team of producers, editor and music. I couldn’t be more thrilled.
